Pars Today – The United Kingdom has condemned Israel’s settlement construction in the West Bank, warning that the move undermines the prospects for long-term peace and security.
“Hamish Falconer,” the UK Deputy Foreign Minister for Western Asia, wrote on the X social media platform early Monday that the UK condemns Israel’s approval to build 19 new settlements in Palestine. He added that this action is illegal under international law and weakens the 20-point U.S. plan as well as the prospects for long-term peace and security.
Channel 14 of the Israeli regime reported on Sunday that Israel’s political and security cabinet approved a plan to build 19 Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Earlier, Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s finance minister, presented his plan to legalize 19 new settlements in the West Bank to the cabinet, which subsequently approved it. /IRNA
