Siamand Rahman has clinched his third title at the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Kazakhstan.

According to Press TV, the 31-year old Iranian legend stole the show on the penultimate day of competition by comfortably lifting 265kg in his second attempt to claim the gold in the over 107kg category, while cementing his status as the strongest ever Paralympian.

The Iranian giant took the lead with his opening 250kg lift, and retired after the second round, as he was way ahead of the pack to seal the title.

It was an Iranian one-two as Mansour Pourmirzaei claimed silver with 236kg, and Iraqi Fares Al-Aghili completed the podium.

The world record stands at a massive 310kg, belonging to Siamand himself.

So far, Iran’s Para Powerlifting Team have secured three gold, three silver and one bronze medals.
