Iran overpower Australia in FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup

Iran’s National Volleyball Team (Team Melli) have defeated Australia 3 sets to 1 to post their second win in the FIVB Men's World Cup in Japan.
According to Press TV, a young Iranian outfit got off to a good start, taking the opener 25-22 at Nagano White Ring arena. The Australians fought back to claim the next set 25-18, but the Iranians stepped up their game to take the next two sets 25-18 and 27-25 respectively. Australia’s Lincoln Alexander Williams led the scoring with 19 points while Iranian Amir Ghafour scored 18.
Iran now ranks 7th in the table with two wins and two losses and a total of six points. Brazil leads the table with four wins while the US and Poland stand next.
