Iranian, Emirati FMs discuss regional issues
The highest-ranking diplomats of Iran and the United Arab Emirates discussed the latest regional developments in a telephone conversation.
According to Tasnim news agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held the phone conversation with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Ale Nahyan on Sunday evening.
The two foreign ministers congratulated each other’s nations on the beginning of the holy Muslim month of Ramadhan.
Zarif and Ale Nahya also talked about the latest regional developments, the fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak, and other issues of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Ale Thani on Saturday.
In the conversation, Zarif congratulated the Qatari nation and government on the start of the holy Muslim month of Ramadhan.
The two diplomats also discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, and Iran's efforts to help build political consensus and form an inclusive government in Kabul.
