President Rouhani: Stability in Eastern Europe important to Iran

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin underlined that Tehran attaches importance to peace and stability in Eastern Europe.
"Stability and tranquility in the Eastern parts of Europe is important to Iran and political talks and peaceful solutions present the only way to establish sustainable security and settle the regional problems," Rouhani said during the meeting in Tehran on Sunday.
Elsewhere, he underscored the good and growing relations between Tehran and Kiev, and said Iran seeks strengthening of bilateral ties.
"Cooperation between the two countries can expand in cultural, scientific, technological and tourism fields," Rouhani said, adding that cooperation between the Iranian and Ukrainian banks will pave the ground for development of economic and trade cooperation.
Klimkin, for his part, emphasized that his country seeks deep and growing ties with Iran.
