Those fomenting insecurity, instability in region must leave: Leader's advisor

A senior advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says those parties who are fomenting insecurity and instability in the region must leave.

"Those who are behind instability and insecurity in the region must leave," Ali Akbar Velayati said in a meeting with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, leader of the Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian resistance group based in the Gaza Strip, in Tehran on Sunday.

Velayati hailed the recent victories of the resistance front and resistance groups in the face of the Zionist regime aggression, saying, "In view of the recent victories [gained by the resistance front against the illegal Zionist entity], there is no doubt that valuable developments are in the offing in favor of the resistance front."

He added, "The path of resistance and struggle has led to impressive and indescribable achievements and has brought numerous victories and triumphs to the oppressed nation of Palestine and the region."

The senior Iranian official expressed confidence that the resistance front would continue its path with dignity and honor.

Nakhalah, for his part, said the Islamic Republic has always supported the resistance front and the Palestinian cause, adding that the resistance front, in general, and the Islamic Jihad, in particular, have become stronger than any time before and are demonstrating their power now.

The resistance group's leader thanked Iran’s stance in support of the Palestinian cause and said the Islamic Jihad and the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza humiliated the Zionist entity with bravery.
