Iran reports 33 additional COVID-related deaths

The Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported that the country’s total cumulative number of COVID-19-related deaths since the start of the pandemic has increased to 140,711 with 33 more people killed by the deadly disease.

According to the reports, health officials reported that there are 2,356 active cases among whom 311 were hospitalized.

More than 6,930,509 individuals have recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 7,199,861 ones who have contracted the disease, the report said.

Some 1,376 victims of COVID-19 are in severe condition and are being treated in intensive care facilities, it added.
