2022 Volleyball World Championship: Iran beat Egypt to reach last 16

Iran have beaten Egypt 3-1 to reach the round of 16 of 2022 Volleyball World Championship.

Team Iran dominated the early proceedings thrashing their African opponents 25-14 and 25-19 in the first 2 sets.

But they got sloppy in the 3rd, and handed the set 25-22. That gave Egypt some hope to go for a turnaround but, Behrouz Ataei’s men got their act together and closed out the match with a 26-24 win in the 4th.

Iran had defeated Argentina in their opening encounter will next face the Netherlands on Wednesday, to see who will come out as Pool F winners.
