Thousand of people in the Nigerian cities of Abuja and Kano held rallies and processions to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran led by the late Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) in 1979.

Holding posters and banners of the Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as well as Iranian flags, Muslims gathered at the National Mosque of Abuja after performing Friday prayers.

People were also carrying placards that contained anti-Israeli and American inscriptions, among them "Death to Israel."
