Foreign ministers discuss promotion of Iran-Venezuela trade ties
The foreign ministers of Iran and Venezuela talked about joint efforts to enhance economic and trade relations between the two nations.
According to Tasnim news agency, in a telephone conversation on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Venezuelan counterpart Yvan Gil Pinto exchanged views about the latest developments in the growing relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.
They also weighed plans for the promotion of economic and trade cooperation between Tehran and Caracas.
They expressed hope that concerted efforts would result in serious and constructive steps for the expansion of interaction and contacts.
During Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s official visit to Tehran in June 2022, Iran and Venezuela signed a 20-year partnership agreement to develop bilateral ties despite the US and Western pressure.
The partnership agreement includes cooperation in the fields of science, technology, agriculture, oil and gas, petrochemicals, tourism as well as culture.
