Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan'ani voiced concern regarding the humanitarian, environmental, and economic ramifications resulting from the catastrophic Kakhovka dam collapse in southern Ukraine.

According to Tasnim news agency, the Iranian spokesman reiterated the unwavering stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the war in Ukraine, the targeting of civilian infrastructure, and the endangerment of human lives.

Kanaani called upon all parties involved in the conflict to abide by internationally recognized principles, which include safeguarding the lives of civilians and alleviating their suffering.

Given the increasingly intricate nature of the conflict, Kan'ani demanded a thorough investigation to ascertain the full scope of the incident and identify the primary cause of this disaster.
