FIFA President, Infantino: Iranian football is blossoming

Pars Today – The President of FIFA, Giovanni Infantino, has stressed that Iranian football is blossoming and growing.

Writing in his Instagram post on the anniversary of his trip to Iran in 2018, Infantino wrote: "I travelled to Iran – a beautiful country – in 2018 to discuss the development of football in Iran, particularly women's football with Iranian officials, and certainly Iranian football has advanced and developed considerably since then".

Infantino referred to Iran's third place in 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which was held in the United Arab Emirates from 15 to 25 February 2024, and wrote: "Iranian football is currently blossoming and FIFA supports all initiatives to further develop Iranian football".
