Head of Chinese academy: Iran-China deep relations are 2000-year old

Pars Today- Head of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Technology, showing happiness at the 2000 years of Iran-China relations, expressed hope that "The letters of understanding, which have recently been inked between the two countries, would be fruitful."

A Chinese governmental and scientific delegation traveled to Tehran, presided by Dr. Wan, deputy of the state minister and head of the Academy of Sciences and Technology of China. Several directors and members of the academy have accompanied the delegation. According to Pars Today, the members of the said delegation met and conferred with Ali Salajeqeh, Deputy of the Iranian President and Head of the Department of Environment Protection Organization of Iran.

Dr. Wan, during the meeting, said that Iran and China have had friendly and commercial relations since very long years ago, made it clear that, in world history, Iran had been the first country to expand its power across the three continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa to create the Pars empire.

Wan stressed the expansion of joint environmental cooperation and added, "The inauguration of the joint laboratory of Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty of Tehran University and the Academy of Sciences and Technology of Gansu state [of China], can be an important step in the enhancement of the two countries' relations in the fields of environment and natural resources."

The head of the Academy of Sciences and Technology of China in Gansu state of China reiterated, "Iran and the state of Gansu are very similar in terms of climate."

It should be mentioned that before the meeting, the letter of understanding for cooperation of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty of Tehran University and the Academy of Sciences and Technology of Gansu state of China was inked.
