Iran among top 3 regional countries in food health
Pars Today- The Islamic Republic of Iran's minister of health, treatment and medical education said, "Iran is among the top three countries in the region in the field of food health."
According to Pars Today, Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announcing some achievements and statistics in the field of food health, added, "We are among the three first countries of the region in the field of food health. For instance, the maternal mortality is nearly 22 in 100,000 pregnant women and very good measures have been taken in this direction in Iran and we are among the few top countries in the world."
Iran's health minister said, "One dimension of the secured food is the calorie rate needed for people, especially for children. What makes up a complete food contains sugar, fat, protein and vitamins."
Zafarqandi, referring to the duties of the health ministry and the Food and Drug Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of food, reiterated, "Food security in the sense of food health is very important to the extent that 700 people in the health ministry and 450 laboratories are working in this field and supervise 17,000 factories and companies of food production."
