The Washington Institute: Iran’s FM is skillfully engaging with US

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi
Pars Today – An American think tank has highlighted the personal characteristics of Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, stating that he knows how to speak the language of the U.S. president.
The Washington Institute, in a report, wrote that Iran’s foreign minister cleverly uses Donald Trump’s own vocabulary not only to communicate with the U.S. president and his voter base but also skillfully attempts to shift the chessboard in Iran’s favor.
According to Pars Today's report, The Washington Institute noted that Iran’s foreign minister, who is fluent in English, has shown a sharp understanding of American political discourse. It stated: "Araghchi, by echoing Trump’s communication style—such as occasionally using capital letters—has proven himself to be a clever diplomat aiming to increase the chances of reaching a favorable deal for Tehran."
It appears that Iranian diplomats have carefully studied Trump’s way of speaking and negotiating. There is no doubt that recently, Tehran has learned from Trump’s management of the Russia-Ukraine negotiations and has understood how to push back against U.S. positions without acting irrationally or personally attacking Trump.
The Washington Institute continued: “Since the start of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S. on April 12th, Araghchi has been systematically crafting a narrative designed to capture Trump’s attention and that of his voter base.”
In another section of the report, it was noted that Araghchi has also tried to appeal to the president’s deal-making instincts, presenting Iran as a “trillion-dollar opportunity” for the United States.
The Washington Institute added: “Iran’s foreign minister has emphasized that Tehran no longer wants an agreement similar to the 2015 nuclear deal, because the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is no longer good enough. Trump’s withdrawal from the JCPOA in 2018 proves that the U.S. president himself does not want ‘another JCPOA’ either.”
In the final part of the report, it was stated: “Overall, Araghchi’s active and strategic messaging highlights his efforts to navigate the tense political environment in the United States and guide the negotiations. He appears determined to strike the right tone: firm enough to assert Iran’s strength against what Tehran views as American imperialism, yet respectful enough to avoid offending an unpredictable president who holds the lever of ‘maximum pressure.’”
