Iranian X users react to snapback: Sanctions are the driving force behind Iran\'s self-sufficiency
Pars Today - Iranian users on the X network, in reaction to the move by three European countries to activate the process of reinstating sanctions ("snapback") against Iran, emphasized that these sanctions, as in the past, will lead to Iran's progress and self-sufficiency.
Britain, France, and Germany, as the three European parties to the JCPOA, formally sent a notification activating the snapback mechanism to reinstate sanctions against Iran to the United Nations Security Council on Thursday.
An assessment of the European Union's performance regarding the JCPOA dossier shows that the union not only failed to deliver on its legal promises to guarantee Iran's economic interests, but also, by fully adhering to U.S. sanctions, reduced its claimed mechanisms to neutralize those sanctions (INSTEX) to an ineffective and demonstrative tool.
According to Pars Today, Iranian users on the X network emphasized that the actions of the E3 (France, Germany, and the UK) against Iran will not have a damaging effect on the national will. On the contrary, as in the past, they will act as a driving force for Iran's progress and greater self-sufficiency.
In this regard, a user named "Daughter of Iran" wrote:
"Europe only remained in the JCPOA in appearance. After the U.S. withdrawal, it implemented the sanctions to the letter, and two years ago, it did not lift the arms embargo without snapback or any other legal basis. Europe's legal commitments are worth less than a goat's snot."
"Javad Zanganeh," another X user, also wrote:
"For years, Iran's enemies have been trying to bring Iranians to their knees through sanctions, threats, and pressure. But they don't know that this nation has emerged from hardships with its head held higher each time. The secret to this victory is nothing but unity and solidarity. When we the people of Iran stand together, no power can confront us."
"Zahra Zare" has also said:
"Sanctions and surrender are the two options the West wants to give us, but Iran has chosen a third path, and that is independence and progress in the real world."
A user named "Rihana" also pointed out that the snapback mechanism means a return to the same past sanctions. She wrote:
"But didn't we achieve nuclear technology, nanotechnology, complex pharmaceuticals, and precision-guided missiles under the shadow of sanctions? For Iran, sanctions mean the compulsory university of self-sufficiency."
"Motahareh Farkhari" considered the knowledge of the Iranian people, writing:
"Iran's enemies assassinated our nuclear scientists, but Iran's peaceful nuclear industry survived. This means the power of the Iranian nation is greater than assassination and sanctions."
"Mohammad Sadegh Shahbazi" also believes:
"Iranians have learned from experience that instead of looking to a few European countries, they must become strong from within and focus on neutralizing sanctions and removing vulnerabilities."
"Fatemeh Roshandel," another Iranian user on X, said:
"Sanctions and threats from the West are an opportunity to cut dependencies and move towards strength and self-reliance. A strong Iran means security, a domestic economy, and indigenous science; whoever stands against the nation will lose."
"Nader Namdar" also wrote that Western countries are fundamentally built on sanctions, which is why they constantly show hostility towards Iran and do not adhere to their commitments.
"Mostafa" also pointed to the 12-day imposed war by the Zionist regime against Iran, stating: "The 12-day war showed that Iran is the primary military power in the region. These military achievements were obtained by Iranian youth under these very sanctions."
