Pars Today – In response to reports of U.S. attempts to harass Iranian oil tankers, a member of Iran’s National Security Commission stated: “If the Americans try to interfere with our tankers, they should know that this is a two-way street and will not go unanswered.”
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, responding to reports of U.S. attempts to harass Iranian oil tankers, said Iran’s maritime capabilities are clear to the Americans and that they have experienced that power before.
According to Pars Today, Boroujerdi stressed: “If the Americans attempt to harass our tankers, they should know this is a two‑way street and it will not go unanswered.”
Boroujerdi, speaking about the recent meeting between commission members and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), said: “The session emphasized that the law passed by the Parliament regarding the suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency must be fully observed.”
The head of the AEOI also provided explanations on the use of nuclear knowledge in various fields, highlighting domestic achievements in agriculture and medicine, particularly in the treatment of diabetic wounds, noting that this technology could save thousands of lives.
Boroujerdi stated that, according to officials at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, nuclear-based innovative medical treatments have been developed in Iran that can prevent amputations in diabetic patients, and these methods have so far saved the lives of 2,000 patients.
Emphasizing the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities, Boroujerdi noted: “Contrary to the fabrications of the Israeli regime and the Americans, Iran has never pursued, and does not pursue, nuclear weapons. This knowledge is used solely for the country’s scientific, industrial, and medical advancement.”
