Iran’s Army Chief: Ground forces units fully protecting borders

Pars Today – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army said that the Army’s ground forces units are protecting the country’s borders with full strength and readiness.

Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, visited northeastern border areas to inspect army units, including combat battalions, bases, mobile assault brigades, workshops, and the construction stages of concrete border wall structures, as well as the operational headquarters of the 77th Thamen al-A’emmeh Division and its units.

According to Pars Today, during the visit, he reviewed the progress of the border wall construction in the northeast, a project primarily led by the Ground Forces, and was briefed on the latest developments in the initiative.

Major General Hatami highlighted the round-the-clock efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army to maintain the security of the country’s borders. He stated that the primary mission of the Army and its Ground Forces is to safeguard Iran’s independence and territorial integrity, a responsibility that is being effectively carried out through the dedication of military personnel.

He emphasized that the Army is committed to ensuring the borders are monitored and protected in the best possible way, and that Ground Forces units are fully defending the country’s borders with all their capabilities.

He described the construction of the border wall as a valuable measure to further enhance security along Iran’s eastern borders. He noted that while various actions, such as digging channels or creating embankments along Iran’s eastern and northeastern borders, had been carried out over the years, the construction of the border wall represents a fundamental step in addressing certain border issues with neighboring and brotherly Afghanistan.
