3,550,000 foreign tourists visit Iran in six months
Pars Today — Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts reported an increasing trend in the arrival of foreign tourists to the country.
Seyyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, told Fars News Agency that over 30% growth in tourist arrivals was recorded in March–May this year, and the upward trend resumed in August–October. According to Pars Today, he stated that 3,550,000 tourists visited Iran in the first half of the year and predicted that tourist arrivals could exceed 7 million by the end of the year.
Salehi-Amiri emphasized that with its rich cultural heritage, diverse nature, and unique historical sites, Iran is one of the world’s most attractive tourist destinations.
He also mentioned the registration of three Iranian villages on the World Tourism Organization’s list, adding that in 2025, Iran nominated eight villages, of which Hasanlu, Fahraj, and Shafiabad were successfully registered.
