Pars Today – The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that the Iranian nation has neither initiated war nor desires it, but will firmly defend its land, identity, and civilization against any aggression with strength and to the last breath.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Seyed Reza Salehi-Amiri made the remarks on Saturday on the sidelines of the 128th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization in Spain, during a meeting with a group of writers, researchers, political figures, media representatives, and supporters of Iran.
He described aspects of the recent “imposed war” by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, referring to the formation of an “unprecedented national cohesion in modern Iranian history,” the “failure of the enemy’s strategy of pressure and intimidation,” and damage to 149 cultural heritage sites in the country.
He also pointed to the martyring of 168 children in an attack on a school in Minab, stressing again that Iran does not start wars and does not seek them, but will defend its territory, identity, and civilization against any aggression with determination.
Salehi-Amiri, referring to the roots of the recent war, said that the enemies of the Iranian nation imposed the conflict on Iran. He stated that the Israeli regime, which since its establishment has defined its existence through war, occupation, and repression, after failing to confront Iran’s national power, brought the United States into the field in order to launch a new project against the Iranian people, but ultimately failed.
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran added that, in response to this coalition, a threefold power consisting of the nation, the government, and the armed forces of Iran was formed, determined to stand against the world’s largest military force. He said that the same power, which with a budget of over $1,500 billion considered itself unchallenged, is now trapped in a strategic deadlock in the region.
Salehi-Amiri, emphasizing the end of unilateralism, said that the world is no longer unipolar. He noted that new powers have emerged in Asia and other parts of the world, and that the international order is undergoing change, adding that Iran will not allow the rights of its people to be ignored.
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts also spoke about Iran’s tourism policies, saying that Iran is among the world’s top 10 most attractive countries in terms of the diversity of its attractions. He noted that the country encompasses more than 20 types of tourism, including cultural, religious, nature-based, culinary, health, spiritual, forest, coastal, and desert tourism.
He stressed that Iran is not the image portrayed by some media outlets, but rather a land of civilization, humanity, culture, and dialogue, and that its doors are open to all truth-seekers around the world.
