Iran’s President: Domestic capital market, economy government’s priority

Pars Today — The President of Iran announced that the government is working to enhance the resilience and efficiency of the country’s economy.
On Saturday, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, spoke at the annual Iran Capital Market Conference titled “Resilience, Innovation, Growth,” emphasizing economic policy reforms, resource management, and support for investors. He stated that the government is working to reduce obstacles to production and trade.
Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of holding monthly meetings with investors and producers to find practical solutions for overcoming crises. He noted, “A 10% savings could save 800,000 to 900,000 barrels of oil daily.” He also pointed out that electricity production from renewable sources has increased significantly and assured that the government is fully prepared to meet energy needs during the winter.
Economic diplomacy and international cooperation
Li Qiang, Prime Minister of China, emphasizing the "Global Governance Initiative" (GGI), called for employing the capacities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to simultaneously develop security and the economy. He noted that Russia also emphasizes expanding its strategic partnership with China.
Li Qiang further stressed making use of the SCO’s advantages, focusing on development and security, and strengthening innovation and cooperation in projects such as the Belt and Road Initiative and the digital economy.
