ParsToday– In a letter, Iran’s representative to the United Nations stated that the anti-Iran resolution of the UN Security Council is a distortion of reality and that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not recognize it.

According to ParsToday, quoting the "Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) News Agency", Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, described the adoption of the anti-Iran resolution by the Security Council as a blatant injustice against Iran and said:

“This resolution is a distortion of reality, and the Islamic Republic of Iran does not recognize it.”

Iravani added that the adoption of this resolution deals a serious blow to the Council’s credibility and leaves a lasting stain on its record.

He stated that today’s action is a clear example of the misuse of the Security Council’s mandate to advance the political agendas of certain members — “specifically the country responsible for this brutal and aggressive war against Iran, namely the U.S. regime.”

Iravani emphasized that the Security Council’s action is unjust and illegal, inconsistent with the UN Charter and international law, and completely ignores the well‑established principles governing the determination of acts of aggression and violations of peace.

The Iranian ambassador stressed that the Council should compel the aggressors — the United States and Israel — to immediately stop all military attacks against Iran and ensure full accountability for these grave violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes.
