Martyr Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani
Pars Today – The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij Organization, was martyred following an attack by American‑Zionist enemies.
According to Pars Today, the IRGC’s statement expressed both congratulations and condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the honorable people of Iran, the valiant members of the Basij, and the family of this dear martyr on the proud martyrdom of the devoted fighter, Major General Gholamreza Soleimani, who was martyred in a terrorist attack carried out by American‑Zionist forces.
The IRGC’s Public Relations Department added that this proud and distinguished commander of Islam, throughout years of devoted service—from the eight‑year Sacred Defense to the present day, particularly during his tenure as head of the Basij Organization—played a vital role in modernizing the Basij’s popular and jihadi structure, expanding development and reconstruction initiatives, alleviating deprivation, and providing support to the oppressed and vulnerable groups.
The IRGC further stated that this cowardly assassination underscores the significance and impact of the Basij in the comprehensive battle against the terrorist armies of the United States and the Zionist regime and their mercenaries, especially in the recent war.
The statement concluded with a warning to the “malicious and terrorist killers” of the revered martyr, asserting that the devoted Basij members will never forsake their vow to avenge the blood of their martyred leaders, commanders, and people. It emphasized that the pure blood of these martyrs will only strengthen the determination of the heroic Iranian nation and all self‑sacrificing Basijis to continue the path of resistance and the struggle against global arrogance and international Zionism.
