Pars Today — The commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters stated that the interception of fifth‑generation fighter jets and advanced enemy drones has become possible through new, domestically developed methods and technologies.

According to Pars Today, Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters, during a visit to the air defense positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said:

The recent achievements are the result of the devotion and self‑sacrifice of all air defense combatants of the Armed Forces — particularly those of the Army and the IRGC — who are stationed in thousands of locations across the Islamic homeland.

General Elhami added:  The brave men of Iran’s air defense, during the Ramadan War, succeeded in destroying several advanced enemy fighter jets and more than 160 MQ‑9, Hermes, Lucas, and other types of hostile American‑Israeli drones, as well as dozens of cruise missiles. They acted promptly and precisely before any offensive operation could be carried out, shattering the enemy’s hollow propaganda image.

Emphasizing that Iranian forces are lying in wait for enemy fighter jets and drones, General Elhami continued:

The targeting, damaging, and downing of several advanced fourth‑ and fifth‑generation enemy fighter jets by Army and IRGC air defense units has been the result of tactics, the use of modern equipment, and innovations within the Army and IRGC defense systems — developments that have caused confusion for the enemy.

He said:  The air defense forces of Iran, both in the Army and the IRGC, are united that they will not hesitate, even for a moment, to defend and protect the sacred skies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
