Baqaei: Imposed war against Iran has targeted Iranian identity

Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the U.S.–Israeli imposed war against Iran has targeted Iran’s existence and Iranian identity.

According to Pars Today, Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote in a post on X regarding the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran: 

“Can attacks on schools, universities, and hospitals, and threats of sending a country back to the Stone Age, be interpreted as anything other than hostility toward Iran and the Iranian people?”

He added: The revelation of the enemy’s malicious intent—nothing but a petty and historical hostility toward Iran and the Iranian people—has been repeated in the remarks of figures such as Lindsey Graham and Steve Bannon (with expressions such as a “2,300‑year conflict” or references to Alexander the Great’s attack on Iran), as well as by U.S. officials who have labeled the Iranian nation as “mad,” “evil,” and “terrorist,” and threatened to “send it back to the Stone Age.” Alongside the enemy’s unprecedented crimes in attacking schools, hospitals, and health service centers such as the Pasteur Institute, universities, historical and cultural sites, and the country’s production infrastructure, these statements have removed any doubt about the true nature of this war.

He said: The imposed war by the United States and Israel against Iran has no aim other than the destruction of Iran and the Iranian people. The enemy has targeted the entirety, identity, and roots of this land and its people, and all of us—before our conscience and before history—will be questioned and judged about where we stood during these days.

Baqaei emphasized that Iranians have proven they possess an unbreakable will to defend their homeland and dignity and to thwart aggressive enemies.
