Qalibaf: Ceasefire in Lebanon as important as ceasefire in Iran

Pars Today – Iran's Majlis (parliament) Speaker followed up on the issue of a ceasefire in Lebanon during a telephone conversation with his Lebanese counterpart.

According to Pars Today, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Iran's Majlis Speaker, in a telephone conversation with Nabih Berri, his Lebanese counterpart, while offering condolences for the martyrdom of the oppressed and resilient people of Lebanon, especially the brave fighters of Hezbollah and Amal, appreciated the spirit of courage and perseverance of the Lebanese nation as well as the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, and stated: God has promised that when resistance is carried out, the outcome will certainly be victory and triumph.

Qalibaf, stating that we have never forgotten our Lebanese brothers and consider them as our own, said: Iranian officials are continuously following up on the situation in Lebanon and the establishment of a ceasefire in that country, and this matter is very important to us. In the Islamabad negotiations and thereafter, we are seriously seeking to force the enemies to establish a permanent ceasefire in all conflict zones according to the ceasefire agreement, because for us, a ceasefire in Lebanon is as important as a ceasefire in Iran.

Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, also gave a report on the latest situation of the Zionist regime's attacks on Lebanon during the conversation, stating: Israel is literally committing crimes in our country and seeking to displace the Lebanese people.
