Pars Today – Referring to the U.S. president’s blatant and brazen admission of piracy against Iranian ships, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson urged the international community and the United Nations to take a firm stand against such actions.
On Saturday night, Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reacting to Donald Trump’s acknowledgment on the social media platform X of piracy targeting Iranian commercial vessels, wrote: “This was no verbal slip. It was a direct and damning admission of the criminal nature of their actions against international maritime navigation.”
Baghaei emphasized that the U.S. president openly described the illegal seizure of Iranian ships as “piracy” and brazenly claimed that “we act like pirates.”
The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the international community, UN Member States, and the UN Secretary-General must firmly reject any normalization of such blatant violations of international law.
