Pars Today – Hana Shabanpour, Iran’s representative, withdrew from the final of the J60 World Tennis Tour in Turkey in a heroic move, refusing to face a representative of Israel in order to protest the regime’s recent actions and the martyring of innocent women and children.
According to Pars Today, at a time when Iran is mourning of dozens of innocent children martyred at the “Shajareh Tayyebeh” school in Minab, by Israel and the United States, Iranian tennis player Hana Shabanpour created a lasting image of loyalty to human and national values on the tennis court.
During the J60 World Tennis Tour in Turkey, Shabanpour had advanced powerfully to the doubles final alongside her Turkish teammate. However, when the opposing finalist team was announced—comprising players from Russia and Israel—Shabanpour withdrew from the final match in protest against the regime’s crimes and in solidarity with the children of Minab.
