Haji‑Babai: Iran has officially become world’s fourth superpower

Hamidreza Haji‑Babai, Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament
Pars Today – The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, while explaining the broad dimensions of the recent military conflict, the failure of the United States’ separatist plans, and the beginning of a new era of power for the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized: “Our policy is neither compromise nor surrender; it is confrontation with the United States.”
According to Pars Today, Hamidreza Haji‑Babai, Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, said while outlining the wide‑ranging aspects of the recent military war, the defeat of U.S. plans aimed at fragmentation, and the start of a new chapter of strength for the Islamic Republic of Iran, that the country’s policy is “no compromise and no surrender— it is confrontation with the United States.”
Haji‑Babai, referring to the broader objectives of the United States behind provoking war, stated that the global arrogance sought to divide Iran into five or six countries engaged in civil war in order to create a scorched earth and pave the way for the domination of a “Greater Israel” over the entire region, even extending to Mecca and Medina.
He added that before the 12‑day war, American researchers had presented three main reasons for the need to launch an immediate attack on Iran: first, Iran’s thousands‑year‑old civilization; second, 1,400 years of “pure Islam”; and third, the high intelligence of the Iranian people. According to him, they believed that if they delayed, Iran could quickly transform into an unrivaled superpower.
He added that after losing hope in internal unrest, the United States—along with 54 other countries—launched a full‑scale military war against Iran. He said that in this battle, relying on God and with the support of the “Axis of Resistance” in Iraq, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and Yemen, Iran proved that “global arrogance” is incapable of defeating it. He further stated that leading universities around the world, including the University of Chicago, now officially recognize Iran as one of the four current superpowers and an Islamic superpower.
Regarding a new conspiracy of oil and naval blockade, Haji‑Babai stated that the United States sought to pressure Iran by preventing the movement of its oil exports. However, he said Iran neutralized this plan by opening the borders of 16 provinces. He added that the world knows if the Strait of Hormuz were to remain closed, within less than a month Europe and the United States would face a severe oil crisis and sharp price increases.
He described steadfastness as the key to certain victory and declared that the criminal United States must annul in international forums all treaties, sanctions, and unjust UN Security Council and Human Rights Council resolutions against Iran. He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear energy program is non‑negotiable and that the United States must permanently withdraw its forces from the region.
