Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned the US military aggression against areas in Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, which took place in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Thursday: "These aggressive acts by the United States against Iran's territorial integrity and national sovereignty constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and the UN Security Council is obligated to fulfill its legal responsibility to hold the American aggressors accountable."
The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, referring to the ongoing ceasefire violations by the United States, particularly the aggression against commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf region and international waters, as well as the aerial aggression against southern Iranian areas over the past few days, emphasized the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to take all necessary measures to defend Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Ismail Baghaei, also condemning the threatening rhetoric of US officials against Iran and some other countries in the region, and expressing solidarity with the friendly and brotherly country of Oman, stated: "Threatening to 'destroy' a member state of the United Nations that has consistently played a constructive, effective, and responsible role regarding regional peace and security, and has for many years, as a mediator in diplomatic processes, employed its good offices in the service of regional peace and stability, not only violates the fundamental principle prohibiting the threat of force but is also another dangerous sign of the normalization of lawbreaking and bullying in international relations."
