Contemporary Iranian Art in London
Pars Today – The sixth biennial of contemporary Iranian art, titled "With My Roots," has showcased a vast collection of works by Iranian artists at the Mall Galleries in London, portraying a manifestation of creativity, cultural identity, and the continuity of Iranian art's roots in one of the most prestigious art venues in the heart of the British capital.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Mall Galleries, located on The Mall near Buckingham Palace in London, is these days hosting one of the most significant events of contemporary Iranian art outside the country — an event that has transformed all the spaces of this art venue into a display of creativity, identity, and the contemporary vision of Iranian artists.
The strong presence of foreign audiences alongside Iranian art enthusiasts at the opening ceremony indicates the growing standing of contemporary Iranian art on the international stage and the high capacity of Iranian artists to establish a global connection through art.
For this biennial, a total of over 530 artworks were submitted to the secretariat. After an initial review, 305 works by 127 artists advanced to the judging stage. Ultimately, 182 pieces were selected for exhibition.
