Trump restraints on Zionist regime over fears of losing channels with Tehran
Pars Today – The U.S. media outlet Axios reported that the U.S. President restrained the Israeli prime minister over fears of losing communication channels with Iran.
According to Pars Today, citing the IRIB News Agency, the Axios news website reported on Monday night that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, halted a plan by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to bomb targets in Beirut following a warning from Iran.
An Israeli official told Axios: “The planned strikes on Beirut will not take place.”
The American outlet emphasized that Trump’s decision to rein in Netanyahu was a clear indication that he does not want his key ally to obstruct efforts toward a deal with Iran.
Channel 12 of the Israeli regime also reported that a phone conversation between Netanyahu and Trump delayed the decision to carry out an attack on southern Beirut, while efforts to reach a new ceasefire are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously stated in a statement that despite the United States’ declared efforts in the early days after the ceasefire to force the Israeli regime to halt its aggression against Lebanon, Washington bears direct responsibility—both for violations of the ceasefire against Iran and for Israeli violations against Lebanon—and is accountable for the consequences and repercussions of this situation.
