Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister said that the country’s armed forces are carrying out defensive strikes within the framework of their legitimate right to self-defense.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote on social media:
“Our Armed Forces are conducting self-defense strikes on sites the U.S. is permitted to use to attack civilian shipping and violate the ceasefire.”
He added: “Any hostile act will be met with an immediate, decisive response. What sanctions and war failed to achieve won't be won with more war.”
The Foreign Minister also said that U.S. Senator Marco Rubio acknowledged, during a congressional hearing, the cooperation of some regional countries with the United States against Iran.
In this regard, Rubio stated:
“In my view, our partners in the region have shown extensive cooperation; some of them, including the United Arab Emirates, have been very active and serious in their cooperation. Kuwait has also performed very well.”
