Pars Today – The Adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran for International Affairs said that the long-standing fears and “nightmares” of Western theorists regarding Iran’s growing power have now become reality, leading to a new geopolitical order.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Ali Akbar Velayati, the Leader’s adviser for international affairs, emphasized that Western media reports (Reuters and The Guardian) acknowledging U.S. President Donald Trump’s need for a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz indicate the failure of the policy of threatening Iran and the success of the resistance’s strength.

Velayati added that a greater strategic mistake is made by those in the region who place hope in the illusion of compromise. He stated that a new architecture of power cannot be built on weakening the heroic resistance, and warned that diplomatic wishful thinking carries a heavy cost, stressing that lasting peace emerges from a balance of power rather than from unbacked commitments.
