Iran’s strong, precise response to Zionist regime's repeated crimes and ceasefire violations

Pars Today – Exercising its legitimate right to self-defense and in response to the repeated and brutal violations of the ceasefire by the criminal Zionist regime, Iran’s Armed Forces carried out a powerful and precise operation against the regime’s military positions.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, in the exercise of its legitimate right to self-defense and in response to the repeated and brutal ceasefire violations committed by the criminal Zionist regime, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran launched a large-scale and forceful missile strike on Sunday evening against military and strategic targets in the occupied territories.

This punitive operation came after the Zionist regime, with the full backing of the United States, repeatedly violated the ceasefire established on the Lebanese front, attacked southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh), and martyred dozens of innocent Lebanese civilians.

In this regard, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement, the text of which is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Destroyer of the Tyrants

"Fight them; God will punish them by your hands, disgrace them, grant you victory over them, and heal the hearts of the believers."
In response to the large-scale crimes committed by the usurping Zionist regime in southern Lebanon, including the killing and mass displacement of innocent civilians in the regions of Tyre, Nabatieh, and other areas, including Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, the Ramat David Airbase—the launching point of these acts of aggression—was targeted by ballistic missiles fired by the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Iran’s acceptance of the ceasefire on April 8 was conditional upon a complete cessation of hostilities on all fronts. However, as has repeatedly been the case, the United States and the Zionist regime failed to uphold their commitments. They continued their acts of aggression and crimes in Lebanon, while also violating the ceasefire through repeated actions against Iranian coastlines and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.

The operation carried out on Sunday night served as a warning. Should these acts of aggression continue, future responses will be broader in scope and will encompass all American and Zionist targets throughout the region.

Background and ceasefire agreement

Following the 40-day war waged by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, a comprehensive ceasefire was established through the mediation of Pakistan in Islamabad. One of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s explicit and non-negotiable conditions for the agreement was the implementation of a complete ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, and the immediate cessation of the Zionist regime’s attacks against the Lebanese people.

However, with the open backing of the White House, the Zionist regime violated this commitment almost immediately after the agreement was reached, intensifying its attacks on southern Lebanon, Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh), and civilian populations.

Iranian officials had repeatedly stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran would not remain indifferent to any violation of the ceasefire, particularly on the Lebanese front, which was one of the principal conditions of the Islamabad agreement. The response delivered on Sunday night represents only a portion of the cost that the aggressors will ultimately have to bear.
