Jakarta hosts Iran–Indonesia friendship cycling caravan
Pars Today – A joint cycling event involving Iranian and Indonesian cyclists will be held in Jakarta on Sunday, coinciding with the participation of Iranian cyclist Arezou Eskandari, who is traveling through Asian countries to promote a message of peace, friendship, and Iranian culture.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the program will take place during Jakarta’s “Car Free Day,” where Indonesian cyclists—some of whom previously completed a route from Bandar Abbas to Tabriz in Iran and became familiar with the country’s cultural and historical heritage—will ride alongside Eskandari and other cyclists for part of the route.
Upon her arrival in Indonesia, Eskandari told local media that her journey carries a “message of peace, friendship, and closer ties between nations,” emphasizing the role of sports in strengthening human and cultural connections between societies.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Indonesia also announced that the program is part of efforts to expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries and to promote the values of peace, friendship, and solidarity among nations.
