Pars Today – Five Iranian vessels passed through international waters after the maritime blockade against Iran was lifted.

A knowledgeable source in Iran’s maritime sector told Press TV that three oil tankers and two vessels carrying essential goods for Iran had crossed the maritime blockade.

According to Pars Today, the vessels, which had been halted amid the U.S. illegal maritime blockade campaign against Iranian shipping, passed through international waters without any obstacles.

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the lifting of the maritime blockade following Iran’s acceptance of conditions for a ceasefire agreement.

Trump had previously insisted that the Strait of Hormuz and the blockade should be reopened immediately after the announcement of the understanding. However, Iran did not accept this condition, and it was agreed that the process of reopening the Strait of Hormuz would begin after the signing of the agreement on Friday.
