Pars Today – The spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the desecration of mosques and attacks on the Palestinian people in the West Bank by Israeli settlers.

According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the criminal actions of Israeli settlers, backed by the occupying regime’s army, including attacks on two mosques in Ramallah in the West Bank, as well as raids on homes, beatings of Palestinians, and the destruction of their property and farmland.

He described these crimes as a continuation of the Israeli regime’s colonial genocidal policy in occupied Palestine. Expressing deep regret over the continued silence of international and human rights bodies, he stated that the ongoing inaction of the United Nations and its United Nations Security Council regarding the actions of the Israeli regime has enabled continued violations of international law and the commission of serious international crimes against Palestinians and other countries in the region.

Baghaei highlighted the religious and legal responsibility of Islamic governments and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to support the Palestinian people in achieving their right to self-determination and to stop the Israeli regime’s killing machine and crimes.

He also called for practical measures by the mechanisms of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and other religious sites in occupied Palestine from continued Israeli violations, as well as for the prosecution and punishment of those responsible for ordering and carrying out these actions.
