Pars Today – The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that in light of America's clear breach of faith and violation of its commitments regarding the non-implementation of the first clause of the post-war memorandum of understanding, and in response to the Zionist regime's continuous and ongoing ceasefire violations in southern Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to all vessel traffic.

According to a Pars Today report quoting Fars News Agency, the full text of the statement issued by the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran is as follows:

"But if they break their oaths after their covenant and attack your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief—indeed, they have no [binding] oaths, so that they might desist." (Quran, Surah At-Tawbah, 9:12)

In view of America's clear dishonesty and violation of its pledge regarding the non-implementation of the first clause of the post-war memorandum of understanding, and in response to the Zionist regime's incessant and continuous breaches of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, the merciless killing, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of oppressed people in that land, and also considering the failure of Zionist occupying forces to withdraw from the territories of southern Lebanon, it is hereby declared that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to all vessel traffic.

It is noted that this is the first step in response to the enemy's breach of commitment. Should the aggression continue, further steps are planned and will be taken to compel the enemy to fulfill its obligations.

The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy also announced: In light of the Zionist regime's crimes in Lebanon and America's failure to uphold its ceasefire commitments, the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all vessels.

The IRGC Navy statement emphasized: The Strait of Hormuz is closed, and vessels are warned not to approach it; otherwise, their safety will be jeopardized.
