Aref: Scientific and technological progress guarantees Iran’s strength
Pars Today – Iran’s First Vice President stressed the need to support the country’s scientific elites and young researchers, saying that Iran has no trust in its enemies and must continue advancing in science and technology to maintain readiness and strengthen national power.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Mohammad Reza Aref, Iran’s First Vice President, said: “The fronts of the battlefield, the streets, public service, and diplomacy all performed successfully, and during the Ramadan War, the technology front also played a role as the fifth front against the enemies.”
Referring to the martyred Leader’s emphasis on scientific and technological development, Aref said that achieving the region’s top position in science and technology had been set as a goal in Iran’s development vision document. He added that the government is determined to move closer to these objectives within the next two years and continue pursuing Iran’s position as a scientific authority.
The First Vice President said that after the 12-day war, major breakthroughs were achieved in science and technology through the efforts of scientific elites and young researchers, the effects of which became visible during the Ramadan War, and that this progress accelerated further after the ceasefire.
Aref praised Iranian professors and young researchers, emphasizing that scientific and technological achievements were the result of the efforts of those who had turned down better job opportunities and higher incomes at leading universities abroad to serve in Iran.
He concluded by stressing: “We have no trust in the enemy,” adding that even if an agreement is reached with the United States, there is no guarantee that hostile actions would stop. Therefore, he said, maintaining national preparedness and strengthening deterrence through scientific and technological development remains a permanent necessity for Iran.
