Pars Today – Iran's Foreign Ministry has issued a statement regarding the latest U.S. violation of the memorandum of understanding in the early hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry released the following statement:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the airstrikes carried out by the terrorist U.S. military in the early hours of Sunday, 28 June 2026, against several monitoring and surveillance facilities on the country's southern coast. These barbaric attacks, which constitute a clear violation of Article 2(4) of the Charter of the United Nations, as well as an explicit breach of the first clause of the Memorandum of Understanding on Ending the Imposed War dated 18 June 2026, demonstrate that the U.S. regime places no value whatsoever on its commitments and that violating agreements is an inherent characteristic of this regime.
While recalling the responsibilities of the United Nations Security Council and the UN Secretary-General for maintaining international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its determination to defend Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity against U.S. military aggression, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
