Iran's Parliament Speaker: Killers of this nation's martyrs will face justice

Pars Today – The Speaker of Iran's Parliament said in a message marking the historic funeral procession of Iran's martyred Leader and his martyred family members in Tehran that "the killers of the martyrs of this land—especially the martyred Imam of the nation—will face the consequences of their crimes, and the final stage of retribution will be realized with the liberation of al-Quds."

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the message by Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf is as follows:

Honorable and grateful people of Iran!

The profound sorrow of losing our martyred Leader, and the final day of his blessed and wounded body in the capital of the mother city of the Islamic world, was transformed—through another manifestation of your awakening at this critical and decisive moment—into an epic of unity and awareness, giving renewed momentum to the path toward the ultimate victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic world.

The people who have been the driving force and steadfast supporters of their Revolution for the past 47 years have, over the last four months, filled the nights with chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel," voicing their anger toward those they hold responsible for the assassination of our martyred Leader and demanding retribution.

The fulfillment of God's promise is certain. Those who violated the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and those responsible for the deaths of this nation's martyrs—especially the martyred Leader of the nation—will face the consequences of their actions, and the final stage of retribution against the arrogant powers will be realized with the liberation of al-Quds.

The awakened nation has bid farewell to its Leader and, as it has over the past four months, renewed its pledge of allegiance to its wise Guardian Jurist, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. These people deserve the nation's gratitude, having never retreated from the path of the Imam and the martyrs.

Today, the world has come to understand that the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran are enduring and everlasting, and that with the backing of this people, there is no deadlock or defeat.

This nation draws inspiration from the school of Imam Hussein (pbuh) and has been nurtured by the leaders of the Revolution. During the 37 years of the martyred Leader's leadership, it has not only preserved the spirit of jihad and resistance but has also developed the strength and organization to stand firmly against the world's powers.

The people deserve to be honored, and no effort should be spared in defending their rights—whether on the battlefield in defense of Iran, in diplomacy and negotiations as part of a principled civilizational struggle against domination, or in serving them by improving their economic conditions and livelihoods. It is hoped that, through the dedication of the country's officials, the repeated recommendations of the martyred Leader and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for tireless and effective service to the people will be fully realized.
