Pars Today — Iran’s national sitting volleyball team claimed its ninth world title after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 3–1.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the final of the 14th Sitting Volleyball World Championship was held on Friday in Hangzhou, China, where the team coached by Hadi Rezaei—already an eight-time world champion—faced Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the championship match, Iran’s star-studded squad delivered an impressive performance to defeat Bosnia 3–1 and secure the title.
With the victory, Rezaei’s men celebrated their ninth world championship. Prior to this triumph, Iran had won eight world titles, finished as runners-up twice, and claimed one third-place finish in the history of the tournament.
By advancing to the final, both Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina also secured qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games.
