IRGC: Plot to disarm Hamas has already failed

Pars Today – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in a statement marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of former Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, said the anti-Zionist discourse has become the dominant narrative around the world.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the IRGC said Haniyeh's martyrdom had strengthened the Palestinian people's unwavering resolve and Hamas fighters' determination to continue his path, deepened the discourse of resistance, and expanded global support for Palestine.

The statement added that the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran, while he was an official guest attending the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, constituted a grave crime and a flagrant violation of the principles and norms of international law, as well as Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The statement further said that, two years after Haniyeh's martyrdom by Israel, and amid the continuation of the genocide in Gaza, the escalation of Israeli military operations into southern Lebanon, and the subsequent second and third imposed wars against Iran with the support of the U.S. president and the U.S. military, the terrorist and criminal nature of Israel has become more evident than ever.

The statement added that avenging the martyrdom of Iran's martyred Leader of the Revolution and Ismail Haniyeh is certain, and that the response to these major crimes will be severe and decisive.

It further asserted that any plot to disarm Hamas is doomed to fail and has already failed. The statement added that Haniyeh's path is one of dignity, honor, and freedom, and that it will continue until the full realization of the Palestinian cause and the end of Israeli control over al-Quds. It also said that the anti-Zionist resistance remains unshakable and expressed confidence that the Palestinians' ultimate victory over Israel is closer than its adversaries believe.
