Nagoya 2026: Iran’s karate team shines with two gold, three silver medals

Pars Today – Iran’s karate team won two gold and three silver medals to claim the championship title at the Nagoya Asian Games.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Iranian karate athletes in both kata and kumite won a total of two gold and three silver medals to secure the championship title at the 20th edition of the Nagoya Asian Games.

Morteza Nemati won gold in the under-75kg category, while Mahmoud Nemati took gold in the over-84kg category. Ali-Asghar Asiabari in the under-84kg category and Fatemeh-Zahra Saeedabadi in the under-55kg category won silver medals in kumite. Fatemeh Sadeghi, Sepideh Amini and Zeynab Sadat Hosseini also won silver in the women’s team kata.

Atousa Golshadnejad in women’s kumite and Fatemeh Sadeghi in individual kata failed to win medals at the competition.
