Velayati to Emiratis: Geography cannot be changed by a statement

Pars Today – Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, told the Emiratis that geography cannot be changed by a statement, stressing that Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Bu Musa have been Iranian and will remain Iranian.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Velayati wrote in a post on the social media platform X on Saturday night: “A country whose political history does not even span half a century is making claims from the UN podium about islands that have been recorded as belonging to Iran in historical documents and maps from past centuries.”

Velayati stressed: “Geography cannot be changed by a statement. Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Bu Musa have been Iranian and will remain Iranian.”
