Pars Today- Iran’s foreign minister has stressed that continued dialogue and cooperation with neighboring countries is the path emphasized by the Islamic Republic of Iran for building a secure region, in a message following the Armenian foreign minister’s visit to Tehran.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi wrote on social media on Tuesday night about hosting his Armenian counterpart: “On Monday (October 5), I hosted Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, in Tehran.”

Araghchi added: “During the meeting, we discussed the expanding relations between Tehran and Yerevan and ways to deepen cooperation in the economic, trade, transportation, energy and other areas of mutual interest.”

The Iranian foreign minister continued: “We also discussed developments in the Caucasus and the importance of maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region.
