Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that his ministry will do its best to restore the rights of the families of the victims of the Mina tragic incident during the last year's Hajj rituals.

"The Iranian foreign ministry will take legal action at the international forums to compel the Saudis to pay compensation to the families of the victims of human tragedy in Mina last year," Zarif said in a message on the occasion of first anniversary of Mina tragedy.

The Iranian foreign minister reiterated that the future relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will depend on the Riyadh government's performance to settle the case.

"The Saudi regime, whose longstanding unity with the Zionist regime has become evident today, has taken hostage the holy shrines to implement its cheap policies to serve the global hegemony and Israel," Zarif said.

He reiterated that obstinacy, biasd and immeasurable wealth have turned the rule of the House of Saud into a ruthless and illogical kind of regime.

On 24 September 2015, a crowd collapse caused the deaths of at least 7,000 pilgrims who were suffocated or crushed during the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mina, Mecca, making it the deadliest Hajj disaster in history.
