Iranian and Omani economic officials have endorsed the agreements to further boost banking cooperation that includes also linking the two countries' ATM machines.

The agreement was made during the Monday visit by Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seif to Masqat.

During his meeting with Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman Hamood Sangour Al Zadjali, the two officials agreed that holders of debi and other bank cards in Iran and Oman will be able to use the ATM machines of both countries.

They also agreed on activating branches of the two Iranian banks of Saderat and Melli in Oman to further boost cooperation between the two countries.
A debit card (also known as a bank card or check card) is a plastic payment card that can be used instead of cash when making purchases. It is similar to a credit card, but unlike a credit card, the money comes directly from the user's bank account when performing a transaction.
