Pakistan's National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua underlined that Islamabad deems as highly important the broadening of relations with Tehran.
"Pakistan is committed to remove all obstacles in the way of improvement of its relations with Iran," Janjua said in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Mehdi Honardoust in Islamabad.
Honardoust, for his part, said that Iran is determined to increase the level of its cooperation in multiple areas to strengthen bilateral relations and to improve border management through better coordination and cooperation.
In relevant remarks in early May, Janjua in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif assured Tehran that his country never approves or supports the groups which act against Iran's interests and security.
During the meeting in Islamabad, Janjua reassured the Iranian side of Pakistan's persistent efforts to work against those who are hurting the common interests of both countries.
